For those that want to include the love of Disney into their wedding, here is an example of a Disney themed ceremony script. You can incorporate Disney just in the ceremony or have it be the entire theme of the day. It is entirely up to whatever you and your partner decide.

Disney Themed Wedding Ceremony Script – Prepared by American Marriage Ministries (AMM)

  • CEREMONY BEGINS. 

INVOCATION / INTRODUCTION OF COUPLE

OFFICIANT TO THE RECEPTION

Can you feel the love (tonight / today)? (1) We are here today to celebrate the wedding of (Partner A and Partner B). In a tale as old as time, a tune as old as song, (2) they met (X) years ago as friends and eventually fell in love.

Together, they weathered the storms and challenges of life and discovered there are some people worth melting for. (3) When they looked at each other, they felt it. When they looked at each other, they were home. (4)

DECLARATION OF INTENT 

OFFICIANT TO THE COUPLE: (Partner A) and (Partner B), you will be partners standing together. You will be each other’s greatest adventure. (5) Are you ready to start your happily ever after together? 

PARTNER A AND PARTNER B

  • THE COUPLE ANSWERS IN UNISON: Yes!

OFFICIANT TO PARTNER A: Do you, (Partner A), take (Partner B) to be your spouse? To have and to hold from this day forward, through great adventures and the everyday, to love and to laugh, to infinity and beyond? (6)

PARTNER A: I do.

OFFICIANT TO PARTNER B: Do you, (Partner B), take (Partner A) to be your spouse? To have and to hold from this day forward, through great adventures and the everyday, to love and to laugh to infinity and beyond?

PARTNER B: I do. 

WRITTEN VOW EXCHANGE (OPTIONAL)
  • THIS PART OF THE CEREMONY SCRIPT IS OPTIONAL. THE COUPLE MAY EXCHANGE PERSONAL WRITTEN VOWS AT THIS TIME IF THEY CHOOSE OR LEAVE THIS SECTION OUT. 

OFFICIANT TO THE RECEPTION AND COUPLE

(Partner A) and (Partner B) have written special vows to each other, which they will exchange now. (Partner A) will go first. 

  • PARTNER A READS THEIR VOWS ALOUD, FOLLOWED BY PARTNER B WHEN PROMPTED BY THE OFFICIANT. 

RINGS & VOWS EXCHANGE

OFFICIANT TO THE COUPLE

The ring, an unbroken circle, represents unending love and the circle of life. (1) When you look at these rings, remember this moment and the love you have promised to one another. 

  • DURING THE FOLLOWING PORTION OF THE EXCHANGE, THE OFFICIANT WILL SHARE ‘CALL-AND-RESPONSE’ STYLE WEDDING VOWS. EACH PARTNER WILL REPEAT THE VOWS WHEN IT’S THEIR TURN. 

OFFICIANT TO PARTNER A

(Partner A), please place the ring on (Partner B’s) hand and share these words.

I give you this ring as a symbol of my love,

and that I am choosing to share a whole new world with you. (8)

I give you this ring and vow

to live happily ever after with you.

  • PARTNER A PLACES THE RING ON PARTNER B’S HAND.

OFFICIANT TO PARTNER B

(Partner B), please place the ring on (Partner A’s) hand and share these words.

I give you this ring as a symbol of my love,

and that I am choosing to share a whole new world with you. (8)

I give you this ring and vow

to live happily ever after with you.

  • PARTNER B PLACES THE RING ON PARTNER A’S HAND.

PRONOUNCEMENT 

OFFICIANT TO COUPLE

It is as plain as anyone can see, you are simply meant to be. (8) By virtue of the authority vested in me by the state of (Name of State) and American Marriage Ministries, I now pronounce you married.

You may now kiss!
